- Executive Partnership: Act as a core member of the SMT, distilling complex financial data into strategic advice for the Board of Governors and the Finance, Audit & Risk (FAR) Committee.
- Planning & Analysis: Orchestrate the annual operational and capital budgeting processes, providing forward-looking financial modeling to support long-term sustainability.
- Capital Oversight: Deliver rigorous financial analysis for major capital projects, investments, and strategic infrastructure developments.
- Charity Accounting: Navigate the nuances of non-profit finance, including restricted and unrestricted fund accounting, donor management, and sponsorship income tracking.
- Regulatory Lead: Ensure absolute compliance with the Charities Regulatory Authority (CRA), Companies Registration Office (CRO), and SORP (Statement of Recommended Practice) reporting standards.
- Tax & Treasury: Manage all Revenue Commissioner obligations (VAT, PAYE/PRSI) and safeguard liquidity through proactive cash flow management and expenditure controls.
- People Development: Lead and mentor a dedicated finance team, fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability.
- IT & Operations: Provide strategic oversight for the organization's IT infrastructure, visitor interface systems, and telecommunications, ensuring value for money, security, and technological resilience.
- Payroll & Benefits: Oversight of the payroll function and coordination with external advisors on company pension plan administration.
- Professional Qualification: Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA) with a high degree of technical proficiency.
- Experience: A minimum of 7 years' post-qualified experience, with a significant track record in a leadership or senior management capacity.
- Sector Knowledge: While experience within the charity or non-profit sector is highly advantageous, we welcome candidates from commercial backgrounds who demonstrate a strong understanding of complex governance and fund management.
