- Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated group financial reporting.
- Prepare and present timely and accurate management accounts with commercial summary.
- Ensure all statutory accounts and tax filings are completed in line with Irish and UK regulations.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage year-end audit process.
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the group.
- Manage rolling forecasts and variance analysis.
- Provide commercial insight and financial modelling to support business decision-making.
- Oversee group cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Implement efficient treasury practices and monitor FX exposure.
- Ensure internal controls are maintained and improved across entities.
- Keep up to date with Irish and UK accounting, tax, and compliance requirements.
- Implement financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Manage and develop the finance team and function across Ireland and the UK.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Partner with the Group MD and SLT to support strategic planning.
- Provide regular updates to the owners/shareholders.
- Support investment analysis and capital expenditure review.
- Support the Group MD in developing company financial benefits/reward for the wider management team.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) //// with 7+ years post-qualification experience, preferably in a multi-entity or group environment with strong technical accounting knowledge & business/commercial acumen and understanding.
- Experience with ERP/financial systems implementation or development, with excellent Excel and financial modelling skills
- Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- A resilient individual, with strong leadership, business partnering and communication skills.
- Experience in the construction, manufacturing or distribution sectors where there are tangible goods or services.
- Previous involvement in a group finance function, ideally within a private equity or family-owned business.
- Experience in managing finance across both Irish and UK jurisdictions, with knowledge of VAT and tax in both.
