Work Flexibility: OnsiteThis role will be based in one of our Cork sites.Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2026 Cooperative cohort.Tasks and responsibilities may include:Together, with your Stryker team leader and college supervisor, identify a Supply Planning project along with project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones and evaluationSupporting cross functional teams to develop best in class sourcing strategies for assigned suppliers and/or commodities in support of business objectivesSupporting the implementation of supplier and/or commodity strategy which will include spend/supply assessments, consolidation strategy, sourcing selection, financial and make v’s buy analysesRepresent the ‘voice of the supplier’ in the organizationCollaborate with key stakeholders on contract strategy for suppliers and create, negotiate, monitor and enforce when applicableDevelop strong relationships with key suppliers as well as other disciplines within the businessesParticipate in new product launches; lead supplier selection, requests for quotes and insurance that suppliers are clear on product launch deliverables; collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful launchResponsible for assuring cost standards are established for annual operating budgetsEnsures compliance with the Quality, Safety and 5S Systems.What you will need:Enrolled in an Irish or Northern Irish university course in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, BIS or other related courses for the duration of the placementHonesty and integrity; must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policiesSelf-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast and results orientated environmentReliable, dependable, and punctualOrganised, focused, and capable of multi-taskingGood analytical and problem-solving skillsGood verbal and written communication skills with basic level of PC skillsIs a team player and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined teamAvailable for either 6, 9 or 12 months – exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner at StrykerWhat we can offer:Attractive salary & vacation entitlementExperience our inclusive, people-first culture.
