Location: Clonmel, TipperaryOur client, offering and specialising in office equipment & stationary are seeking a full time senior retail sales assistant. This role is Monday - Friday 9-5.30pm.Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesWelcoming and engaging with customers in a friendly and professional manner.Assisting customers by answering questions, providing product information, and guiding them in making purchase decisions.Proactively identifying customer needs and recommending appropriate products or alternatives.Maintaining a high standard of product knowledge to confidently communicate features, benefits, and promotions.Ensuring products are displayed effectively and attractively, while keeping the sales floor clean, tidy, and well-stocked.Supporting in-store promotions, special events, and seasonal campaigns.Processing transactions efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.Handling customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach.Assisting with stock management, including receiving, unpacking, replenishing, and monitoring inventory levels.Collaborating with team members to achieve individual and store sales targets.Contributing to a positive, supportive, and professional team culture.Adhering to company policies, health and safety guidelines, and operational procedures.Required Skills and QualificationsExperience: Proven experience in retail sales (typically five years), with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets.Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen, including prospecting, upselling, cross-selling, closing, and repeat business development.Communication: Excellent communication, active listening, and presentation skills.Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Organisation: Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.Technology: Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems, basic Microsoft Office (or similar), and other retail-related technology.Attitude: Positive, proactive, and professional approach with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers.Flexibility: Willingness to support the wider business with additional tasks when required.For additional information and a confidential discussion on this Senior Retail Sales Assistant position and similar opportunities contact: Sarah 056-7786631 / 086 0444833 or Sarah@optimizerecruitment.ieSarah is available for a call between 9am and 5.30pm daily (outside of work hours calls / meetings can be arranged upon request).Please submit your CV via the link provided, in confidence.All applications will be dealt with in the strictest confidence and your CV will never be released without your prior approval.Job Ref Number: OR-www.optimizerecruitment.ie#ORjobs
