Our client is a global organization at the forefront of integrated Systems, Creation, and Production Services for the Life Science industry.Our client is seeking a talented Senior Security Specialist to join their dynamic team. Reporting to the Global Head of IT, the Senior Security Specialist will play a pivotal role in assessing the organization's security posture, implementing industry best practices, and leading the development of a robust security framework tailored to the organization's needs. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of Life Science management while ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical assets. This role is also a step to a team lead position which will allow you to scale your career quickly.Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Design and maintain a robust security architecture, incorporating advanced technologies.
  • Lead initiatives to develop and implement state-of-the-art security measures.
  • Oversee the response to security incidents, coordinating investigations and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct periodic security audits to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and manage system vulnerabilities, applying patches and updates promptly.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Generate regular reports on security posture, incidents, and mitigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure a comprehensive approach to security.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in information security roles.
  • Proven expertise in security architecture, incident response, and risk management.
  • Strong leadership skills in coordinating security incident response activities.
  • Experience in conducting security audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability management.
  • In-depth knowledge of security technologies and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive approach to staying updated with emerging security threats and technologies.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
