The Role:
You will be responsible for installing kitchen units, worktops, and appliances to a high standard. The role requires a strong understanding of technical drawings, accurate measuring and cutting, and the ability to work both independently and alongside other trades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install kitchen cabinets, worktops, sinks, taps, and integrated appliances
- Read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Measure and cut materials using appropriate tools
- Make on-site adjustments to accommodate custom layouts or unforeseen issues
- Ensure all fittings are secure, level, and functional
- Liaise with clients on design specifications, timelines, and any necessary changes
- Collaborate with electricians, plumbers, and decorators to ensure smooth project completion
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Carry out minor adjustments or repairs to existing installations when required
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Fitter, Carpenter, or similar trade background
- Previous experience fitting kitchens is essential
- Confident in reading and working from technical drawings
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Good communication skills and a professional approach to client interactions
- Ability to manage your own workload and maintain a tidy workspace
- Adherence to health and safety standards at all times
