Our expertise in IaaS and PaaS, combined with repeatable and portable delivery models, enables the rapid and secure deployment of applications.Within CCPS, the Cloud Software & Solutions (CSS) group designs and develops cloud platform solutions with an emphasis on quality, stability, simplification, user experience, scalability, performance, and portability. We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and build scalable cloud-native applications and services.Your Impact
  • Pipeline Automation: Involve in the development of automated workflows using Ansible.
  • Security Compliance: Implement and maintain Security (Security Technical Implementation Guides) hardening standards across all infrastructure components to ensure compliance with Cisco’s enterprise security requirements.
  • Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional development and security teams to integrate automated security checks and deployment pipelines into the CI/CD lifecycle.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level support for production issues related to OS.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years (BS) or 1+ years (MS) of experience in software development or cloud/platform engineering roles.
  • Python Development: Proficiency in Python for developing custom automation tools, API integrations, and system utilities.
  • Linux Expertise: Deep proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL/Ubuntu/Win), including advanced shell scripting, performance monitoring, and system-level debugging.
  • Automation Proficiency: Extensive experience in Ansible scripting for configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, and automated patching.
  • Security Mindset: Strong understanding of security principles and proven experience in applying security hardening to production systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Containerization: Hands-on experience building and maintaining Docker containers and managing complex Kubernetes clusters in production.
  • Cloud & CI/CD: Experience with hybrid-cloud infrastructure and integrating security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI).
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders in a global environment.
