
Maintenance Technician

- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of plant machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, carrying out timely repairs to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
- Manage and monitor spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are available when needed.
- Prioritize and respond to maintenance requests, supporting smooth and uninterrupted production operations.
- Apply hands-on skills in basic machining bearing and shaft assembly, and fault diagnosis to resolve technical issues.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Proven experience or strong aptitude in machine maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Competence in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in machine maintenance (preferred but not essential).
- Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
