What this Job Entails:The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for development, management and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure and applications. Working across teams in a collaborative (DevOps) formation, Engineer will be responsible for team mentorship, technology advances and direction, while also supporting project managers and various business towers as a consultant and subject matter expert for the end-point compute environment.Scope:Resolves a wide range of issues in creative waysSeasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of their specialityWorks on problems of a diverse scopeReceives little instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignmentsYour Roles and Responsibilities:Work with data analysts, product owners and data scientists, to better understand requirements, finding bottlenecks and resolutionsBuild batch/real time analytical solutions leveraging transformational technologiesProvide technical engineering working on various technologiesDesign and implement solutions to improve existing support processes and toolsSupport our development and management infrastructure and integrate all systems to work as oneWrite automation code and build tools for provisioning and operating our Development infrastructure on multi OS virtualized environmentsImprove scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance of Cloud and Hadoop InfrastructurePreparing root cause analysis for network and server outagesIntroduce innovations, track and follow up on planning and execution of quality initiativesDocument and follow defined RMA processes and procedures for all relevant vendorsTriage all incoming requests through the ticketing systems and apply first attempt troubleshooting steps (escalate trouble tickets when required)Record, track, and document the tasks request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this positionRequired Qualifications/Skills:Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceNetworks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertiseStrong background in various coding administration and scripting languagesDemonstrated experience with big data infrastructureGood communication skills and works well in a team environment and with stakeholdersExperience in building various programsFamiliarity with tools for monitoring and system alertingManaging multiple products/release cadences with source control branching strategiesSoftware Development experienceExperience with open-source tools and technologies in large distributed systemsExperience building and developing scalable, resilient, always-on data lakeAbility to grasp new technologies quickly and multitask on multiple responsibilitiesExcellent information and data analysis skillsPhysical Demand & Work Environment:Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standingMust have the ability to move from place to place within an office environmentMust be able to use a computerMust have the ability to communicate effectivelySome positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
