Job DescriptionData Analyst -Projects
Purpose of role: The Data Analyst will be responsible for the analysis of data that impacts key operational projects; primarily focussing on innovation and self-checkout deployment. The Data Analyst will support the Projects and Improvements team to improve store process through real-time data analysis and tracking of KPIs that impact project and retail implementation.
The Data Analyst will work closely with the Projects and Implementation Manager to review, assess and allow data-driven decision making.
Reports to: Retail Reporting Manager
Location: Dublin
Duration: FPC 12-18 monthsKey Responsibilities:
Drive Change
  • Lead data analysis and associated reports in relation to self-checkouts and the rollout of the self-checkout programme; including but not limited to productivity, adoption, shrink, labour and till transactional data
  • Support other key operational projects, utilising available data to support key business decisions that drive profitability and reduce stock loss
  • Work with the Retail Reporting Manager to deliver real-time analysis of retail driven data
  • Manage the end-to-end process of requirements gathering, design and assessment of data relevant to key projects and initiatives
  • Develop reports to update senior stakeholders on project status and alignment to success criteria
  • Work with cross functional teams and stakeholders to define and plan effort and output
  • Ensure that all metrics used are meaningful and ensure high quality, accurate data is produced and communicated.
  • Deal with requests for information and provide customized reports and recommendations supporting ongoing business decisions or initiatives.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience of managing data within a consumer focused, retail or ecommerce business
  • Highly computer and data literate with experience of sourcing, analysing and reporting by turning raw data into meaningful insights
  • Excellent analytical skills; as well as expertise in Databases and Excel.
  • Experience in working as part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team
  • Organised, detail-oriented, possessing the ability to effectively prioritise projects and deliverables whilst meeting deadlines set by management.
  • Experience in working as part of a diverse and geographically dispersed team
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and team and work within agreed timescales.
  • Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Operates with a high level of integrity, diplomacy, tact and professionalism.
  • Effective and persuasive presentation skills, including the ability to present complex information in an understandable manner to all areas of the business.
  • Experience of data analysis/data manipulation/problem solving
  • Experienced in presenting data to business stakeholders and providing a clear articulation of what is required of them to support reporting stream

Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
