- Effectively manage a team of two executives to support business needs.
- Collaborate with ADOS on proactive sales strategy and identifying & analysing opportunities to ensure they fit with the hotel's business strategy.
- Collaborate with Account Management and Business Development Teams to nurture existing and secure new opportunities following the Dalata sales process.
- Collaborate with Sales & Revenue on any new group or residential opportunities.
- Actively promote awareness and lead conversion of corporate conferences, small and large meetings, weddings, and special events.
- Collaborate with both proactive and reactive sales teams to achieve the budgeted revenue for meetings and events on a weekly and monthly basis.
- To participate fully in all sales activities, including telesales, sales calls, corporate entertaining, fam trips, social events, and overseas sales trips, as necessary.
- Identification and management of new opportunities in your market in line with the hotel strategy and across the wider Dalata portfolio.
- Work closely with Galway Convention Bureau and key Partners & DMCs for any Meeting or Group opportunities.
- Finalize prospects as confirmed bookings and maximize revenue potential by upselling in all revenue-generating areas.
- Contribute ideas and activities to boost revenue for the quarterly and annual sales and marketing plan.
- Conduct site inspections of the property with potential clients.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in a sales or meeting & events role, preferably in a hotel or customer-focused environment.
- A creative thinker with an outgoing personality, capable of building new relationships and maintaining existing ones.
- Proven experience in effective people management within a team environment.
- Meeting & Events Sales-focused, target-driven, and results-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide clear reports to clients and colleagues.
- Confident, ambitious, and proactive in approach.
- Experience with Opera System advantageous but not essential
