Gardener - Cashel Palace Hotel

• Plan, implement, and maintain landscaping projects across our grounds
• Perform regular garden maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, weeding, and mowing
• Monitor and manage plant health, including pest and disease control
• Operate and maintain gardening equipment and irrigation systems
• Advise on plant selection suitable for the local climate and soil conditions
• Ensure the garden areas are kept tidy and free from litter
• Collaborate with the grounds team to achieve overall landscaping goals
• Assist in the development of seasonal planting schemes
• Maintain accurate records of gardening activities and plant inventory

• Minimum of 2 years' professional gardening experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of plant care, maintenance, and landscaping techniques
• Proficiency in using various gardening tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of plant species, growth patterns, and care requirements
• Experience in pest and disease management for plants
• Ability to operate and maintain irrigation systems
• Knowledge of local climate and soil conditions in Cashel, Ireland
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Horticulture qualification or relevant certification (preferred)
• Valid driving licence may be required for some duties
