Role Type: Full-Time, PermanentStart Date: End of Summer - Projects in Carlow prior if seeking to start immediately.About the RoleOptimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an experienced Finishing Foreperson to join a key healthcare project in Rathcoole, Dublin. This site has approx. 14-month programme involving a high-spec medical facility led by an established main contractor with a long-standing reputation in the Irish market.The successful candidate will take ownership of the finishing phase on-site — ensuring top-quality internal and external finishes, snagging completion, and compliance with client specifications and programme targets. The development is currently in the pre-construction phase and will ramp up from late 2024.Benefits

- Supervise and manage all finishing trades on-site
- Oversee snagging and final handover works across all zones
- Ensure quality finishes are achieved to specification and timeline
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth handovers between trades
- Liaise with Site Manager and Project Manager on daily progress
- Conduct inspections to ensure high levels of workmanship
- Maintain site documentation relating to finishes and quality control
- Assist with programme updates and progress reporting
- Drive safety standards and adherence to project protocols
- Support issue resolution in the final delivery stages
- Trade background or relevant qualification in Construction
- 5+ years’ experience in a Finishing Foreperson or similar role
- Experience on large-scale commercial or healthcare projects desirable
- Strong eye for detail and high standards for finish quality
- Ability to drive completion, manage snagging lists and handovers
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Capable of coordinating with multiple teams under pressure
- Proficient in MS Office and general site technology
- Irish or UK project experience is highly advantageous
