My Client are a very well established multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy who are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to undertake design work and technical project co-ordination in their Dublin office.The successful Electrical Engineer will be a part of a busy team providing Design, Project Management and Construction Supervision of building projects across a range of pharmaceutical, healthcare, process and food industry developments.Knowledge & Skills:
  • The successful Electrical Engineer will have proven experience of delivering detailed designs through the full design cycle.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in the following Electrical design areas: Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power and Data, Fire alarms, CCTV & Intruder Alarms, MV/LV Power Distribution, Containment and BMS.
  • Prepare schematic and co-ordinated layout drawings using both 2D AutoCAD and/or Revit for 3D modelling.
  • Preparation of schedules, data sheets and specifications
  • Carry out site surveys
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates
  • Preparation of technical reports, as required
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documentation
  • Manage health and safety requirements relevant to the work being undertaken
  • Other tasks, as may be required to support the delivery of projects
Education & Experience:
  • The successful Electrical Engineer will have a Minimum Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering – Level 7 or 8
  • Minimum of 3 years of Electrical Building Services Consultancy Design experience.
  • Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Commercial sector knowledge/experience a strong advantage.
  • Be able to take direction from more Senior Staff and work as part of a team
