- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth, profitability and market share.
- Lead, mentor and manage the senior management team to deliver agreed targets and objectives.
- Oversee financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, timely invoicing and liaison with the accounts team.
- Ensure operational excellence and efficiency across both depots, including coordination with sub‑contractors.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, public bodies and internal Colas departments (HSEQ, HR, Finance) to create effective synergies.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement across processes and services.
- Promote and maintain a positive safety culture; produce and approve HSEQ Method Statements, Risk Assessments and SOPs.
- Manage Traffic Management design coordination: liaise with Traffic Management Designers, provide required information for Temporary Traffic Management (TTM) designs, and manage the VIAE Traffic Management Job Pack Tool.
- Ensure QA and HSE documentation is in place and compliant for all contracts.
- Produce client quotations, prepare pre‑qualifications and tender submissions.
- Provide timely information to the accounts department and ensure monthly invoicing is completed.
- Produce regular operational and financial reports for the Board of Directors.
