- Conducting advanced assessments, diagnoses, and specialist individual intervention programs for patients with complex communication and/or swallowing disorders post-stroke.
- Providing specialist support and information in relation to communication and /or feeding, eating drinking and swallowing disorders etc... To service users and relevant others
- Highly specialist clinical decisions following assessment of complex cases.
- Actively engaging with professional bodies and academic institutions to further develop services as well as clinical excellence and research.
- Developing quality improvement
- Acting as a clinical lead within the speech and language team, providing support, mentorship, and guidance to colleagues.
- A recognised qualification as a Speech and Language Therapist with CORU registration or eligibility for same.
- A minimum of 5 years post-qualification clinical experience, with a strong background in the assessment and management of adult neurology, acute stroke and/or stroke rehabilitation patients.
- Experience in dysphagia assessment and management and qualification same preferably
- Excellent leadership and service development skills
