- Partnering with cross-departmental staff in preparing cost capitalization calculations, analyses, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Proactively addressing cost and operational related matters with project managers, asset managers, and other internal project stakeholders on a daily basis.
- Partnering with internal project management teams to ensure the financial success of the companyâs development projects using the Yardi Job Cost module, including setting up projects (jobs), budgets, contracts, change orders, purchase orders, and processing invoices.
- Preparing and delivering customer installation billings, including interfacing with customer personnel to ensure customer satisfaction while enabling expeditious billing to collection for Digital Realty.
- Preparing monthly job cost reports and analyses for review with project and asset management personnel.
- Supporting departmental leadership with the preparation of recurring and ad-hoc cost analyses.
- Four-year accounting or business degree and a minimum of 1 year accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of construction cost accounting and general accounting principles. Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data and perform quantitative analyses.
- Experience participating in monthly accounting close efforts, including preparation of closing entries and reconciliation preparation is strongly preferred.
- Prior experience working in a multi-national corporation is highly desirable.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Yardi experience is a plus, but not required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, accounting and internet software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction budgets, contracts, lien releases, and other pertinent construction documents.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant financial reports, legal documents, accounting pronouncements, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, members of the business community, peer professionals, and management.
- Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and direct and/or contractor employees.
