We are looking for a counter sales assistant to join our very experienced team and provide an excellent customer service to our existing and new customers. The job is varied, includes customer service, completing paperwork, operating til and pc, managing, starting, demonstrating tools and equipment. Familiarity with tools and equipment is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. We would consider it the opposite of an office based position as most of the time is spent dealing with customers or tools and equipment. The assistant will assist customers to select the right tools and equipment for their job, demonstrate it and hire or sell it to them. Responsibilities Greet customers as they enter and provide friendly, knowledgeable service as needed Answer customers' questions about our products and services Process orders and enter information into computer system accurately, keeping records of purchases Answer customers' questions about specific products and inform them of new arrivals Provide professional customer support during product availability or inquiries about product availability Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person to ensure customer satisfaction Desired Experience and Education Excellent communication skills are essential. A driving licence, basic Pc literacy and knowledge of tools is an advantage but not essential. Some experience in retail sales or customer service, preferably counter sales preferred but not required
