This includes triaging issues, troubleshooting problems, resolving incidents, and driving continuous improvement through automation and process optimization.Key Responsibilities:Incident, Problem and Issue Management:
- Triage and resolve incidents, problems and operational issues across security platforms
- Perform root cause analysis, implement workarounds and preventive measures
- Escalate complex issues to Tier 3 support teams following defined processes
- Assist with major incident management, communication and post-incident reviews
- Provide Tier 1/2 support for routine tasks like deployment, configuration, patching and upgrades
- Execute operational runbooks, maintenance activities and health checks across platforms
- Monitor system availability, performance metrics and error conditions
- Implement approved changes following change management processes
- Assist with developing automation scripts and workflows to increase operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities and drive initiatives to automate routine tasks and processes
- Evaluate and implement tools for log analysis, reporting, monitoring and administration
- Document procedures, troubleshooting steps and remediation actions in knowledge bases
- Contribute to training materials, runbooks and technical documentation
- Promote knowledge sharing across the operations team through mentoring and knowledge transfers
- Analyze recurring issues, support tickets and operational data to identify improvement areas
- Propose and implement process optimizations and preventive measures
- Assist with testing and enablement of new tools, technologies and operational capabilities
- Effectively communicate with internal teams like security engineering, IT and vendors
- Provide timely updates and coordinate maintenance/change activities
- Gather operational requirements and represent the operations team in planning sessions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field or equivalent experience
- Certifications like A+, Network+, Security+ etc. are a plus
- 0-4 years of experience in IT operations, system/network administration or security operations
- Hands-on technical experience with network security, endpoint security, logging and security tooling
- Scripting abilities in languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash for automation tasks
- Knowledge of IT service management processes, incident management and change management
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment, multi-task and meet SLA commitments
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of security principles, networks, operating systems and cloud computing
