Programme Executive Retro-Commissioning & Operation & Maintenance (O&M)Public Sector, €52,062, 18-month contractLocation - Dublin, Cork, Dundalk or SligoRole ProfileWe have a number of exciting opportunities across two programmes in the Public Sector Services Programme in the Public Sector and Regulatory Programmes Department.Public Sector Services Programme - Retro-Commissioning & Operation & Maintenance (O&M)Our client support public bodies through a Partnership approach. In exchange for committing to achieving the public sector energy targets various supports are provided to public bodies. The Public Sector Services programme delivers an annual calendar of events, training, and support services. This programme is also responsible for the development and implementation of retro-commissioning and operation and maintenance (O&M) schemes to support public bodies.Reporting to the Public Sector Services Programme Manager, the successful candidate will focus on supporting the development, implementation and scaling up schemes to support public bodies to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. This will involve working closely with public bodies to support the retro commissioning and O&M schemes.Essential Requirements
  • A degree (a minimum NFQ level 7 or greater) or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline such as in Engineering, Science or Building Services.
  • A minimum of three years' directly relevant experience working in this or a related sector or in a similar role (postgraduate studies may be included).
  • Experience managing projects involving a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A good understanding of energy efficiency, sustainability and/or energy management in industry, commercial and/or public sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (including report writing, presenting and public speaking) with an ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Well-developed IT skills.
Desirable Requirements
  • A qualification in project management.
  • Knowledge of relevant Directives and standards, e.g., Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, Irish Building Regulations.
  • Experience of energy related decarbonisation, energy management systems/energy efficient design and/or measurement and verification protocols.
  • Experience of budgeting and cost management.
  • Experience or knowledge of delivering positive customer experiences.
