Our client, a rapidly scaling business, is seeking an exceptional European Commercial Director to lead their commercial growth across Ireland, the UK, and strategically into European markets. This is a pivotal leadership role for a results-driven professional from the Plastics or Distribution industry, with a proven ability to inspire, manage, and develop diverse teams while driving business expansion.Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial operations across Ireland, the UK, and new European territories.
Drive profitable growth, market share, and customer expansion.
Act as a senior account leader, building strong relationships with high-level clients.
Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
Achieve annual profitability, efficiency, and quality targets.
Shape and implement both short-term and long-term strategic plans for European growth.
Qualifications & Experience
MBA or Master's degree, ideally with an academic background in plastics, polymers, science, engineering, or a related field.
10+ years' industry experience, including at least 5 years in a senior people-leadership role.
Proven track record in team leadership, business development, and market expansion.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Strong analytical, reporting, and commercial acumen.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP or similar) and CRM platforms is preferred.
