Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Qualified Industrial Electrician for our client, a well-established company, based in the Carlow area.This is a Permanent Role.Your new job
Key duties & responsibilities:
- Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment and machinery.
- Work with 3-phase power systems, motors, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), and industrial control panels.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and increase reliability.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs.
- Work with PLC systems - programming knowledge is advantageous.
- Ensure all work is completed to high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and logs.
- Qualified Electrician with relevant trade certification.
- 3-5 years' experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with 3-phase electrical systems, VSDs, motors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot effectively.
- Strong fault-finding skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Experience with both preventive and reactive maintenance practices.
- Excellent fault-finding skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Strong commitment to health and safety protocols in an industrial setting.
- Ideally based in or near the Carlow region.
