We pride ourselves in supporting our staff to work in interesting and challenging environments nationwideLocation:Coovagh House - Limerick CityRoles & ResponsibilitiesPromoting the rights and responsibilities of each young person within the serviceParticipating in the development and implementation of Care and Placement PlansPromoting physical, emotional, social, educational, and religious welfare of each young personLiaising with family members and other professionals in relation to the care of young personsAdhering to policies and proceduresDocumentation and report writingAttending regular supervision with the Social Care Leader / ManagerAbout the roleQualifications:A degree level 7+ on the National Framework of Qualifications in one of the following disciplines:Social care or Applied Social StudiesYouth and CommunityBA(Hons) Youth and Community DevelopmentBA (Hons) PsychologyAddiction StudiesBA (Hons) counselling and Addiction StudiesDisability Diploma (Primary Degree)Social ScienceCandidates must have:A commitment to a minimum of 2 shifts per week, ideally 3Client focus, compassion and empathy are essential to the roleTeam work as well as flexibility and the ability to work off one's own initiativeEligibility to register as a Social Care Worker with CORUValid work permissionsWhat we can offer you:Time & a half on SaturdaysDouble time on Sundays & Bank HolidaysAvailable shift patterns: days (8am - 9pm, 10am - 11pm) & nights (8:30pm - 8:30am)Full lines available or option to work individual shifts (minimum commitment of 2 shifts per week)Paid InductionTraining provided & training hours paid for the following:TCI (therapeutic crisis intervention)Crisis Management TrainingFirst AidSpecial Care model of careMCMA Special Care salary scale (post grad exp.)- 1 year exp as SCW €13.50 ph + €5 extra per hour worked (added to basic rate)- 2 year exp as SCW €14.25 ph + €5 extra per hour worked (added to basic rate)- 3 year exp as SCW €15.00 ph + €5 extra per hour worked (added to basic rate)- 4 year exp as SCW €15.75 ph + €5 extra per hour worked (added to basic rate)- 5 year exp as SCW €16.50 ph + €5 extra per hour worked (added to basic rate)About the companynullRequired Criteria
