- Lead the development and introduction of new construction material products aligned with company strategy and market demand.
- Identify gaps in the existing product portfolio and develop business cases for new product lines.
- Evaluate and select suppliers or manufacturing partners in coordination with procurement and technical teams.
- Work with R&D (internal or external) to test product feasibility, compliance, and performance.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments.
- Gather customer feedback via the sales team, site visits, and direct engagement to inform product improvement or innovation.
- Benchmark existing and prospective products against industry best practice and standards.
- Ensure all new and existing products meet relevant standards and regulations (e.g., CE marking, EN standards, fire compliance, thermal performance).
- Collaborate with third-party test houses and certification bodies as required.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation, datasheets, and declarations of performance (DoPs).
- Work with Sales and Marketing to create go-to-market strategies, product launches, and training materials.
- Support the Commercial and Procurement teams with supplier onboarding, pricing structures, and stock forecasting.
- Provide internal training to sales, technical support, and operations on new products and key features.
- Manage the product lifecycle from concept to discontinuation.
- Monitor product performance, margin, volume, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement, including sourcing optimizations, packaging upgrades, or specification enhancements.
- 5+ years experience in product development, technical sales, or procurement within construction or building materials.
- Familiarity with sustainability and compliance standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and product/project management tools.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and building regulations.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance product performance, cost, and marketability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong project management abilities.
