Head of Psychology - Disability & Neurodiversity ServicesLocation: DublinContract: Full Time, PermanentSalary: €116,111 - €134,604A leading national provider of disability and specialist clinical services is seeking an experienced Head of Psychology to lead its psychology function across multiple Children's Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) and complex-care pathways.This is a rare opportunity to join a progressive organisation delivering both regional disability services and specialised national programmes for children and adults with complex needs. The service provides multidisciplinary support, innovative clinical interventions, and evidence-based therapies to individuals with a wide range of physical disabilities, neurodevelopmental conditions, and rare disorders.The RoleThe Head of Psychology will oversee the effective delivery of high-quality psychological services, including assessment, intervention, consultation, research, education, and family support.You will play a key strategic role in shaping services for children and adults with disabilities, with a particular focus on developing and expanding supports in autism and neurodiversity. This leadership position involves driving service transformation, ensuring clinical excellence, and guiding a team of psychology and clinical staff to achieve organisational goals.Key Responsibilities
  • Lead psychology services across CDNTs and specialist pathways.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality, evidence-based assessment and therapeutic interventions.
  • Contribute to organisational strategy, including expansion of neurodiversity services.
  • Provide clinical leadership, governance, and oversight of best practice.
  • Support research, innovation, and service development initiatives.
  • Drive service transformation aligned with national policy and organisational objectives.
Essential Requirements
  • Doctorate in Clinical/Educational/Counselling Psychology (PSI Approved and Validated by Dept of Health)
  • Extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Significant expertise in autism and neurodiversity.
  • Proven track record in strategic leadership and service transformation.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of evidence-based psychological practices.
  • Experience in research, innovation, and developing clinical services.
  • Full, clean driving licence and access to own car (some travel would be required)
