In this pivotal role, you'll oversee a talented team of five Billing Analysts, ensuring seamless billing operations, maximised collections, and consistent financial performance. Acting as a key bridge between senior Finance stakeholders and client-facing legal teams, you'll drive process optimisation, strategic initiatives, and meaningful results.What You'll Be Responsible ForTeam Leadership and Performance
- Lead, coach, and mentor Billing Specialists
- Manage team structure and workload allocation
- Drive a performance culture centred on key financial metrics
- Oversee onboarding and ongoing development programmes
- Improve Lockup Day metrics through continuous benchmarking
- Act as a strategic escalation point for Partners and Fee Earners
- Collaborate with Legal Administration to enhance reporting and support
- Advise on client fee structures and forecasting processes
- Support Finance leadership with key initiatives and analytics
- Lead financial reviews and ensure data integrity
- Solve complex billing issues e.g. e-billing, multi-payor matters
- Introduce automation and tools to drive office billing KPIs
- Partner with Global Services, Finance, and Operations to improve workflows
- Guide credit control strategy and aged debt recovery
- Ensure adherence to firm-wide billing policies and standards
- Analyse WIP trends to identify and resolve inefficiencies
- Champion end-to-end lifecycle improvements
- At least 4-5 years' experience as Billing Manager
- Strong team leadership and coaching capabilities
- Proficient in SAP, Concur, and e-billing platforms
- Advanced skills in Excel and Power BI
- Knowledge of Irish VAT regulations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication
- Data-driven with a sharp eye for process efficiency and KPIs
