- Ensure a high level of hygiene throughout the hotel at all times in accordance with the standards as set out by the Accommodation Manager
- Ensure the programme of deep cleans are completed according to the company’s SOPs
- Alongside the Accommodation Manager develop, train and coach accommodation staff to the standards required by the Hotel Management
- Ensure that all equipment is in working order at all times, reporting any defects to maintenance
- To ensure that all supplies are used correctly, minimizing waste within the department.
- Assist in ordering of cleaning products, linen and amenity requirements
- Communicate effectively with Reception regarding room allocations and requirements.
- Manage the operation of our in-house laundry in line with the SOPs
- Ensure that corridors are kept clean and free from obstruction i.e. ttrolleys, trays, linen bags etc. as per SOPs
- Liaise with fellow supervisors as to any needs, requests for the department.
- Ensure that any maintenance problems are reported immediately and followed up.
- Take responsibility for lost property and to ensure that all items are updated in the log book and items are then secured
- Ensure that accommodation staff are allocated their statutory breaks and that they are clocking in/out correctly
- Develop and motivate all housekeeping staff and keep informed of departmental and hotel achievements
- Follow rigidly all HR policies and procedures
- Monitor all staff on duty ensuring all duties are being fully carried out in accordance with Company Procedures
- Ensure a high standard of service and attention to detail within the hotel/your department
- Maximise staff productivity and encourage staff motivation by helping to create a positive working environment
- Ensure that necessary steps are taken to safeguard Company money, goods and assets
- Familiarise yourself to carry out duties laid out in the departmental S.O.P. manual
- Deal with customer complaints in an efficient and professional manner and to notify Management of these
- At least 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- Ability to work in Ireland
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Must be flexible for the shifts
- Laundary experience willl be an advantage
- Attention to detail
- Previous experience managing a team would be a distinct advantage
