- Research and evaluation advice for Transport Infrastructure Ireland including development of aspects of their Project Appraisal Guidelines, evaluation of major projects, preparation of business cases and mainstreaming sustainability into transport schemes
- Economics advisory services for the National Transport Authority of Ireland, including development of business cases for BusConnects and the Town Bus Services Programme
- A long-term evaluation project on the introduction of sustainable travel measures in pilot “Smarter Travel Areas” in Ireland
- Preliminary Business Cases for projects within the Cork Area Rail Programme and DART+ for Iarnród Éireann
- Developing Economic Appraisal methods for Irish Water and the Health Services Executive
- Measuring and evaluating public realm improvements in towns for various county councils
- Economic analysis on tourism investment for Fáilte Ireland.
- Demonstrate technical leadership in carrying out economic consulting projects
- Demonstrate exceptional competence and achievement over a sustained period
- Possess technical excellence in economics and understand its contribution to the success of the firm
- Identify trends, issues and opportunities for economics consulting
- Possess full technical control over projects
- Communicate the results of our work to a range of audiences, making sure messaging is clear and appropriate
- Manage projects in accordance with AECOM project management processes
- Manage client relationships
- Identify opportunities for the AECOM economics team, and convert these into sales
- Work collaboratively and iteratively within multi-disciplinary teams
- Collaborate with colleagues throughout AECOM to develop and realise business growth opportunities
- Have the technical ability, knowledge and competence to provide guidance to teach and develop junior staff, including being a supervisor, motivator and conducting performance evaluations

- Excellent technical skills in applied economics

- Ability to convey complex economic issues to a diverse range of audiences, in a clear and concise manner, using a variety of formats
- Significant experience working in a similar role in a consulting firm, a relevant public sector organisation or industry.
- Degree/Masters qualification or doctorate in an economics subject from an accredited college or university, or overall equivalent experience.
