  • Previous experience working in a Supervisory capacity in a similar environment, Intellectual Disability sector is preferred
  • Experience of working in the area of autism and behaviours of concern would be essential.
  • Work as part of a dedicated team, as well as independently if/when required
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with service users and all stakeholders.
  • Support the day-to-day planning and running of services, ensuring a safe, supportive environment for all.
  • Ensure adherence and understanding of New Directions programme and integration of service users into the community.
  • Location may be subject to change depending on business needs and requirements
GENERAL DUTIESAs the above is not an exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities, this job description may be revised from time to time to take account of any change in requirements of the position or any other duties as may be assigned by the Adults Day Services Manager.Essential Qualifications & Requirements:
  • QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare or a relevant field (Full award) is essential
  • Train the Trainer Qualification, or its equivalent is preferable
  • Knowledge/understanding of the New Directions Programme for Adult day Services is essential
  • Full manual driving licence and access to your own transport.
  • A degree of flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and helping them maximise their quality of life.
