Working with a global leader in electronic design and manufacturing, this role will offer you the opportunity to project manage the development of new systems for the extensive product range. The products for this company are related the renewable energy sector and enable the implementation of smart grid applications along with substation and distribution automation.
As a result of these large programs in the renewable energy sector, our client is currently looking to recruit a Test and Quality Engineer support automated products for manufacture.
This is done in accordance with defined test procedures and customer specific hardware and software requirements. This is a onsite based role, with offices in DublinAbout the Position
Experience in the electronics sector is essential for this role. You will understand business management and all related aspects of testing in an electronic environment. You will be well versed in quality procedures and have prior experience working with high profile clients and stake holders. Experience in the electronics sector related to the utilities industry is essential for this role. The role involves both analogue and digital design and development.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will
  • Ensure delivery of quality product to the end customer in a timely manner.
  • NPI - work closely with hardware and software groups on the successful introduction of new products.
  • Assist in component verification and validation.
  • Manage product validation and certification.
  • Development of production test equipment
  • Determine root cause and drive and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Identify and drive product and process quality and cost improvements.
  • Process non-conforming product and document same.
  • Provide support to contract manufacturer, helping to ensure delivery of highest quality product.
  • Maintain records for all products including test results and quality inspections.
  • Receive, document, analyse and process RMA products
For this role you will haveDiploma / Degree in electronic/computer engineering or equivalent
  • Skilled in the use of various test equipment tools, logic analyser; curve tracer, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Solid rework and soldering skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft tools, Word, Excel, Project etc. Experience in a production/quality/test/RMA environment
