- You will work with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- You will test performance of electro-mechanical assemblies, using test equipment
- You will have experience with pneumatics, electromechanical systems, PLCs, robotic systems in a high volume manufacturing environment.
- You will operate, test, or maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
- You will analyse and record test results, and prepare written documentation
- You will perform operational test and fault isolation on automated systems and equipment.
- You will carry out activities in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer. These activities include the assembly and testing of equipment, fixtures, processes and/or electronics, completing engineering studies and validations.
- You will follow Dexcom’s Safety and Lock Out/Tag out (LOTO) program.
- You will assume and perform other duties as assigned.
- You will perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements.
- You will update equipment related documentations (manuals, drawings, and specifications) as needed.
- Typically requires a Level 6/7 qualification and a minimum of 0-2 years related experience (Technician 1), 2-4 years of related experience (Technician 2), and 4-6 years of related experience (Technician 3).
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical documents related to equipment specifications
- Ability to write routine reports, pass downs and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers and managers
- Knowledge and experience with PLC and Automated production/process equipment, Pneumatics, Electro/Mechanical systems and Packaging equipment highly desirable.
- Experience with process improvement projects i.e. improving yields, reducing downtime
- Proven ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills
- Knowledge of high reliability, high volume manufacturing equipment and processes
- Technical writing skills as applied to manufacturing documentation and process development - Experienced in the creation and revision of technical documentation
