Our client, Ballinlough Refrigeration Limited, based in Ballinlough, Co. Roscommon, is currently seeking Refrigeration Technicians for their facilities in Roscommon, Cork and Dublin. Duties & Responsibilities To aid in the design and maintenance of devices that provide refrigeration in buildings and vehicles. To ensure the equipment complies with environmental standards, to handle hazardous materials used in refrigeration systems, and to ensure safety precautions are in place To install, inspect, maintain, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems. To diagnose faults and carry out troubleshooting on refrigeration and cooling systems. To perform routine maintenance and servicing to ensure system efficiency and compliance with safety standards. To work with a variety of refrigeration equipment, including cold rooms, freezers, chillers, and HVAC systems. To ensure all installations and repairs comply with industry regulations and health & safety standards. To handle refrigerants safely and in accordance with environmental regulations. To maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports and documentation of repairs. Requirements & Experience 3-5 years of relevant previous experience in a refrigeration technician role, including installation, maintenance and repair Refrigeration Technician certification/training preferred but not essential. There are no minimum academic requirements. Further training will be provided on-the-job as required. Essential knowledge for the role includes knowledge of refrigeration parts, hydraulics, mechanical engineering, refrigerants and thermodynamics Essential skills include applying health and safety standards, conducting routine machinery checks, and ensuring compliance with environmental legislation Requires experience of handling refrigerant transfer pumps, and interpreting 2D & 3D plans Essential skills include required for the role include ability to maintain records of maintenance interventions, monitor utility equipment and use testing equipment The successful candidate will have experience in draining hazardous liquids, installation of refrigeration ducts and resolution of equipment malfunctions The role requires strong knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including electrical and mechanical components Must have experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics is required Annual Remuneration: €37,544.00; Pay rate €18.05 per hour Work Locations - Ballinlough Refrigeration Limited at: Srah, Ballinlough, Co.
