Job Opportunity: AutoCAD TechnicianWe're looking for a skilled CAD Technician with a solid background in AutoCAD and an interest in 3D design to join a design team in Westmeath. Our client are a family run business and are the biggest manufacturer of off site steel sheds and garages in Ireland.This role involves working directly on steel-framed building projects, collaborating with engineers and other technicians to deliver high-quality, accurate drawings. If you're detail-oriented and enjoy working with advanced design tools, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Responsibilities:

Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using AutoCAD software.
Interpret architectural and structural specifications to design layouts and components.
Liaise with engineering teams to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building standards.
Revise drawings as required based on feedback from internal teams or external clients.
Maintain organized records of all design files and version changes.
Assist in updating standard drawing templates and libraries.

Requirements:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential; 3D an advantage).
Willingness to learn an in-house 3D LGS Frame design program (training provided).
Background in construction, architecture, or structural engineering preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines.
