This is a place to make a difference in the world.The Role & What You Will Be DoingThe OpEx Specialist will be responsible for driving, coaching, leading and supporting OpEx deployment and culture change across the Inverin & Casla sites. The OpEx specialist will collaborate cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, improve quality, and increase throughput while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.The role is 100% dedicated to continuous improvement (CI) and OpEx implementation.Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Operational Excellence Specialist role will make an impact:Facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and root cause analyses (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).Deploy LSS programs such as 5S, Standardized Work, TPM across the site as requiredBuild internal capability by delivering training and coaching on LSS methodologies such as root cause analysis, 5 Whys, Process Mapping etcDrive development of OpEx standards for the Galway siteIdentify, lead, and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.Develop systems to monitor and report on site performance metrics (e.g., OEE, OA, cycle times, right-first-time).Support digital transformation or automation initiatives to improve operational performance.Develop/ implement the site Tiered Meeting Structure/ Production SystemMentor and support Yellow belt and Green belt project leadsPerform other duties as assignedAbout Your Skills & ExperienceFor this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:Bachelor's or Master’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, Industrial, or related field)PMP, Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean Manufacturing certified beneficialProven experience in a manufacturing or operations environment, preferably in pharma, biotech, or med tech.Strong problem solving and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication, writing, presentation and data organisation skillsEnergy, enthusiasm & capability to drive change and commitment to challenge how we currently operateAn ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a complex, fast-paced and goal driven environmentStrong collaborative and influencing skillsAbility to build a culture of positive engagementPassion for continuous improvementDemonstrated interpersonal and leadership qualitiesAt Viatris, we are dedicated to building a truly diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t fully align with every requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
