- Own and oversee environmental compliance across the site, ensuring all activities align with our EPA waste permits and current legislation.
- Carry out internal audits, site inspections and environmental sampling, ensuring best practice and readiness for EPA inspections.
- Maintain and evolve our Environmental Management System (EMS), including SOPs and risk assessments tied to our waste operations.
- Manage and submit all environmental returns, including quarterly and annual reports to the EPA and other relevant bodies.
- Work directly with regulatory bodies, including the EPA, HSA, and RSA, representing with professionalism and confidence.
- Stay sharp keep up with industry developments, new legislation, and technological advancements in environmental compliance.
- Be the go-to advisor internally for all things environment: from supporting process improvement to raising awareness among staff.
- Develop and deliver training, inductions, and toolbox talks focused on environmental policies and procedures.

- Support the maintenance and delivery of the company's Health & Safety Management System.
- Assist in conducting routine health and safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective actions are tracked and implemented.
- Deliver Health & Safety inductions and ongoing toolbox talks to promote a strong safety culture across all teams.
- Investigate, report, and record any incidents, accidents, and near misses promptly, ensuring follow-up actions are taken.
- Maintain an accurate training matrix and ensure compliance-related training is scheduled and completed on time.
- Liaise with the HSA and other relevant bodies on health and safety matters, ensuring full compliance with statutory obligations.
- Experience in environmental compliance, environmental science, waste management, or a related regulatory field.
- Proven understanding of Irish environmental legislation and EPA licensing.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001) is highly desirable
- Excellent communicator - both written and verbal with confidence dealing with regulators
- and internal stakeholders alike.
