We are currently seeking an Equipment Engineer to join a dynamic and growing engineering team within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Engineering Lead, this role will focus on maintaining and optimising production equipment to ensure reliability, efficiency, and safety across operations.The successful candidate will play a key role in driving maintenance excellence, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to achieve operational goals.Main Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage maintenance programs for manufacturing equipment
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance activities to reduce downtime and extend asset life
- Coordinate maintenance tasks including troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades
- Support equipment installation and ensure compliance with required standards
- Diagnose and resolve equipment performance and reliability issues
- Provide technical support and guidance to technicians and team members
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulations
- Conduct routine safety inspections and support a strong safety culture
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment history
- Analyse equipment performance and downtime, generating regular reports
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and support FMEA activities
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, and Engineering
- Work closely with automation teams to support equipment delivery and performance
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in equipment maintenance or engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device or similar preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good understanding of safety standards and best practices
