Job DescriptionOur Client are a well-established residential contractor delivering high-quality housing developments across Cork. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Engineer to join our team on current and upcoming residential projects.Role OverviewThe successful candidate will play a key role in managing on-site engineering activities, with particular responsibility for setting out, surveying, and coordinating groundworks. Proven experience working to Uisce Éireann standards within the residential construction sector is essential for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out accurate setting out and surveying for housing plots, drainage, foundations, roadworks, and associated infrastructure.Oversee and coordinate groundworks crews, ensuring works are completed in line with drawings, specifications, and project programmes.Liaise with Uisce Éireann on water and wastewater installations, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards and procedures.Supervise subcontractors and direct labour during civils and infrastructure works.Coordinate with design teams, site management, consultants, and local authorities.Maintain site records including daily diaries, QA documentation, inspections, and as-built drawings.Ensure all works comply with health & safety, environmental, and quality requirements.Assist with short-term planning, sequencing of works, and resource scheduling to meet project deadlines.RequirementsDegree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Engineer role on residential housing developments.Strong setting-out experience using GPS, total station, and levels.In-depth knowledge of Uisce Éireann standards and procedures.Experience managing and coordinating groundworks and utility crews.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Full, clean driving licence.For further information, please contact Thomas at Brightpath Recruitment.INDTW
