Job DescriptionWe are seeking a talented and experienced Chef Manager to lead our Clients Nursing Home team, overseeing a group of 2 dedicated culinary professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently. As a Chef Manager, you will be responsible for menu planning including modified diets, food preparation, staff supervision, and ensuring the overall success of our catering events. Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of five culinary professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with clients to create customized menus that meet their specific needs and preferences.
  • Oversee food preparation, ensuring high-quality and consistent execution of menu items for catering events of various sizes.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment to meet health and safety standards.
  • Monitor and control food costs, implementing strategies to maximize efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Work closely with the catering sales team to coordinate and execute successful events. • Ensure seamless communication between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to
guarantee a smooth flow of service. • Uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste. • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Chef with a strong culinary background and creative flair. • Solid understanding of diverse culinary techniques and cuisines. • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work
environment. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with staff and clients. • Proactive in identifying and resolving challenges in a fast-paced catering environment. • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
