Senior Occupational Therapist

- Conducting functional assessments to identify opportunities and risks, ensuring individuals can live as independently and safely as possible
- Developing and delivering targeted interventions that support safe daily living, including personal care, community access, and home management
- Integrating assistive technology, mental health supports, and practical skills-building to enhance independence, safety, confidence, and autonomy
- Supporting the rollout of a bespoke person-centred planning tool – Living My Best Life – to help participants set and achieve meaningful life goals
- Collaborating with residential staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote sustainable, safe, and person-led engagement
- A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- CORU registration (or eligibility for same)
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Strong expertise in:
- Functional assessment
- Teaching and enabling independence skills
- Use of assistive technology to promote autonomy
- Supporting mental health for people with intellectual disability.
- Excellent communication, coordination and organisational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A full clean driving licence
