- Take charge of a team of ZGT developers, guiding and ensuring their alignment with project objectives.
- Identify, assess, design, and implement Guidewire (GW) code, APIs, and integration flows.
- Develop framework components within GW to enhance the system’s capabilities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, subject matter experts, and testers to ensure a shared understanding of functional and architectural designs.
- Conduct workshops to break down designs into technical tasks with accurate estimates.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to ZGT development team members, contributing to skill development.
- Support the development of global GW-enabled projects, ensuring consistency and alignment.
- Lead design and development tasks, explaining approaches and technical solutions to the team and the broader GW community.
- Communicate technical issues in an easily understandable manner, offering solutions to project managers, developers, team leads, architects, and business analysts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Contribute to sprint planning and provide feedback during retrospectives.
- Support the service catalogue approach to enhance accessibility and reusability.
- Over 2 years of experience leading, managing, coaching, mentoring, and developing a team of Software Developers, with a demonstrated track record of enhancing development practices.
- Over 5 years of proven commercial software development experience covering various technologies, including Java 8, Web Services (SOAP and RESTful), SQL queries, XML technologies, relational databases, version control systems, and web technologies.
- Full-stack development expertise, encompassing front-end, back-end, microservices, and data management.
- Commercial experience with tools such as Linux, Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, SOAPUI, Selenium IDE/WebDriver, Python, and OpenText WEM/Portal/Process Suite/StreamServe products.
- Good understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience in estimation, code review, and mentoring.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, including Scrum, and knowledge of AGILE methodology/Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and SDLC processes.
- Experience in the Insurance or Financial Services Sector a plus
- Degree in Computer science or related filed / or equivalent experience
