Regardless of your role at Wayflyer, you'll work with a variety of different disciplines and teams from around the world on a multitude of challenging projects and game-changing products to revolutionise the eCommerce landscape.The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and flexible finance lawyer to join Wayflyer's Legal and Compliance team. This role will be a critical component supporting internal teams, working with third parties, and providing day-to-day and strategic advice on a broad range of legal matters.What will you do?Lead on drafting and reviewing customer facing documents, agreements and side letters relating to our financial productsDay to day support to internal teams on issues affecting and queries on our financial productsCollaborate with business stakeholders on legal considerations associated with launching new products and making enhancements to our existing productsSupport on various finance transactions, debt capital markets and security arrangementsReview and negotiate commercial contacts with our service providers and partnersEnsure our contractual templates, playbooks and other standard terms are kept up to dateAssist in advising the business on ancillary areas such as data protection, corporate compliance, intellectual property.Knowledge, skills and experienceYou are a qualified lawyerYou have 2-3 years experience working as a lawyer either in practice or in-house, with experience in financial and/or banking mattersYou have a demonstrated ability to work across areas outside of your core practice areas (corporate transactions, data protection, commercial contracts) and will have completed a training seat in at least one of these areas.You are able to work collaboratively with counterpart lawyers to drive efficiencies in transaction processesYou have a strong commercial acumen and can make risk based decisions, seeking appropriate guidance and input when required. You can work with a variety of business stakeholders and understand their needs, partnering collaboratively with them to find creative solutions.You have a creative mindset, rarely or never saying “no” but rather saying “let's try this instead”You have high energy and enthusiasm for how the legal department can bring value to the business and help it resolve some of its hardest problems.You can work at pace and deal effectively with ambiguityYou can work autonomously without the need for significant guidance or input, seeking feedback and input at appropriate junctures.What happens nextWe'll review and respond to every application we receive.
