Hobson Prior is seeking a QC Analyst to permanently join a biotech organization. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring quality control processes meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards to support the production and release of gene therapy products. This position also involves contributing to the setup of a new GMP facility, including equipment qualification, method transfer, and routine testing.Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.Responsibilities:

Perform routine lab tests to ensure timely product release.
Coordinate testing with external labs for raw materials and final products.
Operate and maintain lab equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
Document and investigate any non-conformances, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Assist in updating standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other lab documentation.
Complete required training promptly to perform assigned tasks.
Maintain QC facilities to GMP standards and support inspections or site visits.
Contribute to the Quality Management System by managing documents and ensuring data integrity.
Participate in equipment qualification and method validation or transfer activities.
Support and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Skills and Requirements:

A degree in a scientific field such as Biochemistry or Chemistry.
Familiarity with GMP environments.
Knowledge of gene therapy or biologics testing methods like qPCR, HPLC, Western Blot, SDS-PAGE, DNA extraction, or spectrophotometry.
Experience with mammalian cell culture or flow cytometry is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and understand systems and processes.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
