This is a 12 month fixed-term contract.As member of a very busy team, the person will ensure all our Business to Business and Business to Consumer labels across all Europe & UK sites, are compliant to relevant Regulations. They will design loftware labels templates and support sites/business with any labels queries. Also, the person will be responsible to assess and assign tariff codes for our finished products and raw materials. This individual will have experience working and interpreting food labelling and tariff legislation. Knowledge of packaging legislation would also be a distinct advantage.Previous experience as a Subject Matter Expert thought Leader and participation at trade associations in their respective area of subject matter expertise would also be advantageous.The role is based in Naas with possibility of hybrid working.Key responsibilities
- Reviewing and approval of Food product labelling Business to Business or Business to Consumer.
- Creating label templates design on Loftware.
- Assigning and assessing Tariffs codes for raw materials and finished products.
- Advise on regulatory trends and issues impacting the industry and the Kerry business.
- Develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders/customers.
- Management of projects related to implementation of regulation updates
- Liaise closely with other internal departments.
- Remain aware of all health and safety issues relevant to the job.
- Contributing to overall department Key Performance Indicators.
- Remain fully flexible to meet business requirements
- Degree in food science, chemistry, or related discipline
- Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience in SAP, Optiva and Loftware systems an advantage
- Knowledge of food legislation in one or more of the following areas labelling, tariffs, packaging
- Fluency in English
- Scientist 1-3 years experience of key areas outlined.
- Ability to work accurately and quickly in a fast moving environment
- Ability to work on your own initiative and pay attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Good project management skills
