Senior Mechanical EngineerOur Client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The role involves working on large-scale projects, dealing with plant maintenance and large-scale plant improvement projects and reports directly to the Engineering Manager. This is a superb opportunity for the right candidate.Responsibilities of the role:Carry out Preventative Maintenance work as required by PM schedules and suggest improvements.Take an active part in all machine installations, continuous improvements, commissioning and maintenance projects.Involved in planning and coordinating major shutdowns/ overhauls.Responsible for a specific plant area during shutdowns.Responsible for directing contractors on specific jobs/projects (in the particular plant where s/he is assigned).Responsible for ensuring a safe, clean working environment and carrying work in a safe.Candidates should preferably:Be a qualified Mechanical Engineer or similarAt least 5 years' experience in a similar roleExcellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsProven technical skills and strong commercial acumenAbility to take responsibility for and control large scale projectsExcellent IT skills (MS Office, Autocad)
