You'll provide the talent, ambition, and drive.The Business Analysis Consultant will be the primary point of contact between the Planning and Performance Management team and Finance. The core focus of the role will be providing our Finance partners with the necessary data and supporting business insights that are needed to support the budgeting and invoicing processes.Schedule: Full-time position with standard working hours of Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the Republic of Ireland will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our Dublin or Letterkenny office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reporting: Manage critical monthly reporting tasks, including accounting deliverables and financial forecast inputs. The role will also be responsible for identifying and delivering on automation opportunities in these processes.
  • Invoicing and Accounting Quality Checks: Conduct quality checks on invoicing processes and ensure accurate, timely delivery of monthly accounting files, reinforcing consistency in financial tracking and reporting.
  • Business Insights: Engage with other functions (eg Workforce Management, Inventory Management) to gain business knowledge to be in a position to explain the drivers in business performance.
  • Frequent meetings with others across global time zones will require some calls to be made outside of standard business hours
You will be rewarded and recognised for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role, as well as providing development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldUnderstanding of financial processes, including invoicing and accountingAbility to analyse data, identify trends, and provide actionable insightsProficiency in managing and transitioning reporting tasks, ensuring accuracy and timelinessPreferred Qualifications:Collaboration skills to work effectively with WFM and operations teamsExperience in business performance monitoring, forecasting, or financial analysisFamiliarity with the financial services industry and coding operationsRelevant certifications in financial analysis or business performance management are a plusSoft Skills:Verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial tracking and reportingPlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
