Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter, senior professional with 10 years’ or more experience, working in sustainability, ideally in a business and/or consultancy environment. This role is ideal for someone looking to work on innovative sustainability projects, as well as supporting the senior leadership grow the business and thought leadership activities.   • Managing and taking a technical lead role on sustainability and ESG consultancy projects in business and government across multiple sectors. Project areas include GHG emissions measurement and verification, sustainability strategy development and baseline assessment, sustainability reporting and disclosure advisory, sustainable finance advisory, training and capacity building and more.
  • Responsible for project origination, business development, project management and delivery, preparation of presentations, reports, proposals and tenders for client projects.
  • Supporting the development and evolution of our sustainability and ESG service offerings in this dynamic area.
  • Managing and developing strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the firm and clients.
  • Working closely with colleagues you will ensure that work is properly executed, documented and concluded in compliance with our quality and corporate guidelines.
Requirements
  • Self-starter essential and taking ownership of key tasks.
  • Circa 10+ years work experience in sustainability, ideally in business and / or consultancy professional services.
  • Strong working knowledge of sustainability policy, law, initiatives and reporting standards such as EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), EU Taxonomy, TCFD, GHG Accounting methods including GHG Protocol and associated standards, ISO14064, Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
  • Project Management expertise – a strong team player with the ability to manage several projects, meet deadlines and senior management expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including drafting reports, proposals, tenders and presentations.
  • Strong network in the sustainability and business arenas.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft applications (TEAMS, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project), Zoom and other webinar events online tools.
  • Experience working in sustainability in state bodies or government also ideal.
  • Qualifications: Sustainability/environment related degree or post graduate qualification essential.
