Site Locations: Southeast regionAbout the Role:A leading Irish construction company with a 50-year legacy in delivering high-end projects across the Pharmaceutical, Educational, Healthcare, and Commercial sectors is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.
This role will based in Carlow, with flexibility for hybrid/remote work.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing major pharmaceutical and high-spec projects across the Southeast.Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commercial management of projects, including detailed cost-value reports.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier schedules, ensuring timely procurement.
- Conduct monthly progress valuations and finalise accounts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain cost control, monitor materials, and manage preliminary expenses.
- Generate cost forecasts and negotiate final accounts.
- Provide contractual expertise on RIAI and Public Forms of Contract, including handling variations and cost estimates.
- Qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage budgets effectively.
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel; knowledge of Buildsoft or equivalent software is desirable.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
