- Provide end-to-end facilities management oversight across a geographically dispersed, multi-site portfolio including distribution centres, offices locations.
- Own the operational performance of all hard and soft FM services, including building fabric, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, fire detection and suppression, access control, utilities, and grounds maintenance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and statutory inspection programmes to ensure asset reliability, safety, and compliance.
- Lead and support the planning and delivery of CAPEX projects, including warehouse expansions, major refurbishments, plant and equipment upgrades, and critical infrastructure works, from business case development through procurement, delivery, commissioning, and handover.
- Act as the accountable owner for facilities contracts, managing tendering, mobilisation, performance management, KPI/SLA governance, and continuous improvement of service providers.
- Lead facilities budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, ensuring transparent cost models, robust financial governance, and delivery of value-for-money outcomes.
- Identify and manage lifecycle replacement and capital investment programmes, including business case development, risk assessment, and post-implementation review.
- Ensure effective utilities management, including consumption monitoring, tariff review, anomaly investigation, and cost optimisation.
- Maintain accurate asset registers, drawings, certifications, and compliance records, ensuring all facilities documentation is audit-ready and aligned with internal procedures and Irish statutory requirements.
- Support site openings, closures, refurbishments, and change initiatives, ensuring facilities readiness, compliance, and minimal operational disruption.
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Security, Cleaning, IT, and H&S teams to ensure facilities services support operational performance, resilience, and business continuity.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine the organisation’s sustainability strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate ESG objectives, operational priorities, and regulatory expectations.
- Lead energy, carbon, water, and waste reduction programmes across the estate, translating sustainability targets into practical, site-level initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Own energy and environmental performance monitoring, including data collection, analysis, benchmarking, and reporting to support informed decision-making and performance improvement.
- Drive SEAI grant applications, audits, and compliance activities, ensuring projects are scoped, delivered, and evidenced in line with scheme requirements.
- Support and deliver decarbonisation initiatives, including energy efficiency upgrades, electrification, renewable technologies, and low-carbon infrastructure investments.
- Work closely with Facilities, Operations, and Procurement teams to embed sustainability principles into capital projects, asset selection, and supplier engagement.
- Track, analyse, and report sustainability KPIs, supporting internal management reporting, audits, and external ESG disclosures as required
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, fire safety, environmental regulations, and internal SOPs.
- Act as a key stakeholder during audits, inspections, and regulatory engagements.
- Manage risk assessments, incident follow-ups, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support emergency preparedness, business continuity, and site resilience planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in sustainability management and facilities operations, preferably in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to drive decision-making.
