- The role requires you to handle goods/stock in a manner that will improve the company's efficiency and result in outstanding customer service.
- The work involves handling stock through the Supply Chain, from Goods Inwards, Replenishing and Merchandising, Order Picking, Wrapping Stock and Loading for Delivery.
- All employees in the Warehouse have responsibility for implementing and maintaining the rules, regulations and policies as defined by the Company on an ongoing basis.
- Operate a scanner and a motorised truck.
- Ensure that product is picked to correctly meet order requirements and is rotated correctly with reference to batch numbers and dates.
- Ensure that picked pallets are built in a stable manner to meet customer specifications, to avoid damage in transit and allow optimum truck loading.
- Assist in the overall operation of the warehouse.
- Ensure all quality, hygiene and health & safety policies are adhered to including manual handling practices.
- Comply with all health & safety procedures.
- Be aware of HACCP requirements and ensure that they are fulfilled (cleaning policy).
- Carry out the Company's Waste Management Policy.
- Assist in any ad-hoc duties where necessary.
- Functional, hands-on experience in Warehouse Operations
- An understanding of Supply Chain functions.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A strong focus on quality customer service.
- Be capable of working well on one's own as well as part of the warehouse team.
- Be flexible in their availability.
- Valid Power Pallet Certificate.
- Valid Forklift Certificate; Counterbalance and Reach
