Western Alzheimers is currently recruiting for Healthcare Support Assistants within our In-Home Respite Sitter Service in the following areas; Mountbellew, Ballygar and surrounding areas. This is a Community Employment Placement providing a great opportunity for someone looking to return to work, up-skill and gain further experience working with our elderly clients, who reside at home where we provide a person-centered. Are you someone who enjoys using your initative, creativity and talents. Our In-home respite sitter service may be the perfect job for you, while also allowing you to further your career, by participating in healthcare support training which will help you achieve your QQI /FETAC Level 5. Coaching and mentoring will be provided, to develop your confidence and competencies within your role. Duties include caring for people with Alzheimers Disease/Dementia, assisting with personal care, preparing meals, social engagement, stimulating therapeutic activities etc. If you feel you have the essential qualities to work with us.
